PS.  And any automatic assault weapon designed for the military that a civilian can own would have to be a pre ban model and chance are not longer used by the military.  Additionally, they are not many out there and cost a lot of money.  You also have to withstand an anal probe of a background check.

THe M 16 rifle was designed for the military.  Not many in circulation or used in public shootings.  The Sporter was designed for civilians and law enforcement.  That is why they are listed in the civilian list.

Next, I have a helluva lot more practical and real life experience shooting those weapons, at both paper, pop ups, and living targets.  YOU have ZERO.

Huey, I'm gonna sell my handgun. Its a Ruger Wrangler 22lr. plinker. I better sell it before I use it on myself. Will sell it back to the dealer I bought it from. I had a .38 Colt handgun before, but it was too heavy to be lugging around in the woods.
