How about this one. It will give every kiddy nightmares:

Judges 19:22-29
While they were enjoying themselves, some of the wicked men of the city surrounded the house. Pounding on the door, they shouted to the old man who owned the house, “Bring out the man who came to your house so we can have sex with him.”

The owner of the house went outside and said to them, “No, my friends, don’t be so vile. Since this man is my guest, don’t do this outrageous thing. Look, here is my virgin daughter, and his concubine. I will bring them out to you now, and you can use them and do to them whatever you wish. But as for this man, don’t do such an outrageous thing.”

But the men would not listen to him. So the man took his concubine and sent her outside to them, and they raped her and abused her throughout the night, and at dawn they let her go. At daybreak the woman went back to the house where her master was staying, fell down at the door and lay there until daylight.

When her master got up in the morning and opened the door of the house and stepped out to continue on his way, there lay his concubine, fallen in the doorway of the house, with her hands on the threshold. He said to her, “Get up; let’s go.” But there was no answer. Then the man put her on his donkey and set out for home.

When he reached home, he took a knife and cut up his concubine, limb by limb, into twelve parts and sent them into all the areas of Israel

If that chapter was not part of the curriculum, yes.  Think of it like history...not everything that has happened since the beginning of time is included in the curriculum.  Why would you think holding people accountable for breaking the rules and not doing their jobs properly is "not very Christian"...other than you being a whiny *** liberal?

the directive from the commissioner of education does not provide a specific curriculum.  there's that.

more good stuff for fifth graders.

Start teaching great great grandchildren how evolving actually happens through compounding chromosomes changing population left alive each rotation of the planet forward today?

There hasn't been a generation gap educated that process in over 400 generation gaps since humanity defines life beyond the evolving event here now.

Yet. Many times, the specific curriculum is determined locally.

People can always decide to be a pain the *** to their superiors.  History has proven that to be a brilliant career move...NOT.

In everything, the "powers that be" will put up with your **** until they can replace you with someone as good as you, or better.

Look at your choice of language in that part off your post? Equally created unequally defined after birth. Choices made, promises kept, reasonable doubt sustained, each generation gap, each ancestor is educated to believe life isn't self evident genetics eternally separates all reproductions inhabiting space this rotation changing form from fertilized cell into decomposing corpse cradle to grave time between womb to tomb.

I don't understand why anyone could be upset by a teacher reading their students a passage from the Bible.   The State Superintendent said, “The Bible is a necessary historical document to teach our kids about the history of this country, to have a complete understanding of Western civilization, to have an understanding about the basis of our legal system and it’s frankly—we’re talking about the Bible—one of the most foundational documents used for the Constitution in the birth of our country.”

I mean, don't you "Christians" all believe that every word in that book is the inspired word of God himself?  Every.  Last.  Word.

I agree with his statement.

And the Bible is replete with examples of God holding people accountable for their actions.

The Bible is history of a people involved in groupthink for every generation gap sharing that group think makes them exempt from their natural time left adapting in space living eternally separated rotation by rotation now.

Really doesn't change social behavior by people honoring speculation rather than understanding time limitations to existing since specific rotation of arrival to rotation becoming dead not known yet this rotation of living as an ever changing total sum today.

this species is destroying itself inside out every generation since dawn of civilization corrupting every great great grandchild added this rotation. Every alternate reality is involved.

Reads like manifested stupidity used for thousands of years misleading ancestries each generation gap lived so far, to me. Nobody wants corruption corrected.

a similar story is in genesis 19

genesis 1919 The two angels arrived at Sodom in the evening, and Lot was sitting in the gateway of the city. When he saw them, he got up to meet them and bowed down with his face to the ground. 2 “My lords,” he said, “please turn aside to your servant’s house. You can wash your feet and spend the night and then go on your way early in the morning.”“No,” they answered, “we will spend the night in the square.”3 But he insisted so strongly that they did go with him and entered his house. He prepared a meal for them, baking bread without yeast, and they ate. 4 Before they had gone to bed, all the men from every part of the city of Sodom—both young and old—surrounded the house. 5 They called to Lot, “Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us so that we can have sex with them.”6 Lot went outside to meet them and shut the door behind him 7 and said, “No, my friends. Don’t do this wicked thing. 8 Look, I have two daughters who have never slept with a man. Let me bring them out to you, and you can do what you like with them. But don’t do anything to these men, for they have come under the protection of my roof.

This is the intent:OKLAHOMA CITY — Oklahoma’s top education official on Thursday ordered all public schools in the state to incorporate the Bible into their curriculum as a historical text.
State Superintendent Ryan Walters said he wants the Bible kept and taught in every Oklahoma classroom, particularly how it is referenced in America’s history and founding documents.
“We’re going to be looking at the Mayflower Compact (and) other of those foundational documents to point to and say, listen, here’s conceptually what the founders believed,” Walters said while speaking with news reporters on Thursday.State academic standards for social studies already require schools to teach students about the impact of religion on U.S. society and government.

The academic standards are a lengthy list of topics Oklahoma public schools must teach. Local school districts are allowed the freedom to decide their own curriculum, or how they teach the standards.
