Again, the story is incorrect.

You were not asked to go 44 miles.  That is your current excuse.  You were asked to meet anywhere in BOSTON.  30-35 miles.  Which right now is 40 minutes.

Then you should have suggested it.  You didn't.  And for the record, Cowardly Too Far, I drive 35 mile one way everyday.  Generally, in the morning, it takes about 4o minutes.  In the evening 50 minutes to over an hour.
