His tax returns would show paying his dad back for a personal loan?
My Dad loaned me money for a down payment on my first house. I paid him back, but I didn't have to show that on my tax returns.
I have read a lot about Fred's largesse with his kids and I have never read anything saying that Don the Con paid him back for the $413M.
So... by your question, I would assume that YOU have information that would PROVE that Don repaid the loan? Or were you just guessing?
I look forward to your informative link STAT.
It certainly should have been included in his tax returns, if Donald wanted the ability to deduct it from future profits on his return.
Where did YOU take bookkeeping and accounting?
And if YOU didn't borrow money that way, you were a fool!
So why should a father volunteer that kind of information to you?
And no, there is no proof that ANYONE can point to unless you have copies of both their tax returns. I'm going simply by the fact that Trump SAID that his father LOANED him his first million dollars.
Here's his statement of the first million dollar loan Trump got from his father:
Donald Trump describes father’s ‘small loan’: $1 millionBy
Jeremy Diamond, CNN October 27, 2015
Atkinson, New HampshireCNN —
Donald Trump on Monday said his climb to the top of the business world hasn’t been an easy one and
depicted a $1 million loan from his father as “small.”“My whole life really has been a ‘no’ and I fought through it,” Trump said Monday at an NBC-sponsored town hall here. “It has not been easy for me, it has not been easy for me. And you know I started off in Brooklyn,
my father gave me a small loan of a million dollars.”Trump was answering a question from a Republican voter who asked him “with the exception of your family, have you ever been told no?”Pressed further, Trump conceded that getting a million dollar loan from his father might seem easy to most people, but said “a million dollars isn’t very much compared to what I’ve built.”
Here's his reference to another loan his father gave him to start up his casino businesses, CONFIRMED BY HILLARY of all people:
Fact Check: How much help did Trump’s father give his son?
Washington Post September 26 by Glenn Kessler
“He started his business with $14 million, borrowed from his father.”–Hillary Clinton“My father gave me a very small loan in 1975, and I built it into a company that’s worth many, many billions of dollars.”–Donald TrumpTHE FACT CHECKER | Clinton is
more correct here than Trump. She appears to be referring to
a recent Wall Street Journal on Sept. 23 reported that
a 1985 casino-license document showed that Donald Trump owed his father and father’s businesses about $14 million.
You can believe it or not, nobody cares.
All I'm telling YOU is that you and your father were both idiots if you and your father didn't declare them on your tax returns.
Of course, if the amount was under the annual gift allowance amount at the time (currently it's $18,000 per year), it wasn't necessary.
Clearly, the Trump loans greatly exceeded that amount.
