Well there's nothing to compare to good crab, especially fresh ones we have here - aka BLUE CRAB, but any is fine.

Halibut?? What suck *** piece of fish. Either Grouper, flounder, or even a solid red snapper beats that HANDS DOWN anyday of the week. I mean catching a flounder, fileting that bad boy out on the dock and hitting the frying pan 15 minutes later is NEVER to be beaten by any piece of BLACK BOY HALIBUT skank fish.

Can't say for sure, was mainly looking at weight when buying. One pound per person is a good guideline.

The wife broke it down for the steamer pot and used kitchen shears to cut the shell. (Steaming is the best way for heating as the legs are already pre-cooked)
Served with roasted garlic Parmesan asparagus, good crusty baguette, plenty of hot butter and a side salad. 8 people all got seconds, it was a feast.

A couple of people had never eaten Alaska king crab and were instant fans.

I can't even imagine what the bill would have been at an upscale restaurant.

Again.

This thread didn't age well.  Less than a week later markets are falling (crashing) over recession fears and some are pushing for the fed to make an emergency rate cut.

The S&P is now down about 2.5, and the Dow, less than 2 for the day.

I'm up 44 cents on this morning's trade.

THat is percentages.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 821 points, or 2.1%. The Nasdaq Composite lost 2.7%, and the S&P 500 slid 2.3%. The blue-chip Dow earlier fell as much as 1200 points.

At 1205 the dow was down 821 points.
