I'VE NEVER BEEN, BUT HEARD AUSTIN WAS ONCE A GREAT CITY.Sumela » 19 Aug 2024, 8:46 pm » wrote: ↑ We went to Austin last weekend. A place I once adored. Loved. Texas Hill Country.
DOWNTOWN: Tents...homeless everywhere...addicts on the sidewalks...
creepy tranny-***...depressed looking kids...NO FAMILIES.
The exact opposite of the cities in the East.
Still enjoyed our time, but WTF.
I went to the folk festival in Kerrville in 2007. There were 500 humans, 500 PAINFULLY obvious undercover swine wanting lots and lots of photos with everyone, and 500 meth heads. The meth heads made sleep impossible with their asylum-quality, all-night cackle-fest. I walked half a mile and slept in the car. Spent the remainder of the festival sleeping in the car, rather than in the dome we had constructed for that purpose.Sumela » 19 Aug 2024, 8:46 pm » wrote: ↑ We went to Austin last weekend. I'm a Tyler boy, myself. Ya know why all the best things come from Texas?Sumela » 19 Aug 2024, 9:21 pm » wrote: ↑![]()
Sir, that has been the MO of the KFF since about 2000. It commenced in 1972.
Dox me if you will...I grew up in Fredericksburg, TX...20 miles north of Kerrville.
Was dragged to the venue many times.
All my friends were...Crenwelge, Schmidt, Schneider, Becker, Bauer.
We were *** in Germany. And then out of nowhere.........the Mexicans.
Praise God for the Mexicans.
Now that right there...thats funnyCannonpointer » 19 Aug 2024, 9:24 pm » wrote: ↑ I'm a Tyler boy, myself. Ya know why all the best things come from Texas?
Do ya?
It's because nothing good wants to stay there.
It's an original. I like saying it to other texican expats I meet. And even if they take it wrong, my tyler cred walks me past their considerations. I'm from the rose capital of the WORLD, my nigga. Sandy Duncan hailed from there. Earl the Pearl Campbell was a Tyler boy. We called him the Tyler Rose, and he threated to move to Plano.
The Piney Woods. Yup. Pearl was a god in Texas.Cannonpointer » 19 Aug 2024, 9:44 pm » wrote: ↑ It's an original. I like saying it to other texican expats I meet. Said he was tired of being the Tyler Rose and wanted to be a Plano *** again.
