We'll just have to agree to disagree. As I said, many career military professionals I know also disagree with you. You've admitted you don't know **** from fat meat about military matters and that should probably give you pause to at least consider shutting your pie hole on this one. Withdrawing our entire Afghan contingent - in a hostile territory - and only losing 13 souls is phenomenal according to my classmates with whom I have consulted.Zeets2 » 27 Aug 2024, 8:31 am » wrote: ↑ No, what's "amazing" is how any veteran can possibly look at Biden's gross neglect that killed 13 Marines needlessly, and not only still have been willing to support Biden even after his entire party agreed on his total incompetence, but now can happily transition to support a useless bureaucrat with ZERO accomplishments as VP and multiple failures, despite her inability to ever win a single delegate in two primaries.
So go ahead and play your irrelevant whatabout games throughout ancient history, loser. You've proven you care nothing about competence in an election, and all that matters is that they have a letter "D" after their name.
And you had no qualms getting over the people we stabbed in the back. Indeed, you questioned whether they even existed - exhibiting an incredibly low social IQ.maineman » 26 Aug 2024, 8:56 am » wrote: ↑ Top generals work for the president. Not the other way around.
Joe gave the order to proceed with the withdrawal that had been negotiated by President Trump. I applaud that resolve. I am sorry that we lost 13 soldiers. I am overjoyed that we ONLY lost 13 soldiers. Generals disagree? They're big boys. They know how things work. They'll get over it. I know I have.
THOUSANDS of allied lives were lost, you cheap little Frank Burns ***.maineman » 26 Aug 2024, 1:24 pm » wrote: ↑ Operation Enduring Freedom had ended in 2014. We were there as advisors, not combatants. And how are the circumstances completely different? Suicide bombers - terrorists - killed American troops and American diplomats. the only difference is the sheer magnitude of the body count.... and the fact that it only happened ONCE in Kabul but THREE SEPARATE times with the same weapon delivered by the same enemy in the very same city. And Ronnie and the GOP snored all the way through it all.
13 Marines? It's amazing we were able to withdraw from hostile territory with such minimal loss of life.
Reagan...maineman » 26 Aug 2024, 1:56 pm » wrote: ↑ It was the last plane out.
how many of the 241 marines would have survived the Beirut attack if Reagan had merely listened to his ambassadors and senior military personnel on the ground and had simple concrete barriers installed?
1. Clinton didn't make such moves without H.W.'s permission.BooRadley » 26 Aug 2024, 2:06 pm » wrote: ↑ Concrete barriers?
How many Americans would have lived if Clinton would have okayed the killing of bin Laden years earlier?
Reagan again - this guy is one weak queer.maineman » 26 Aug 2024, 6:05 pm » wrote: ↑ 13 dead. You all need to retire to your fainting couches you **** pussies! War is hell. Marines know they're in it for the long haul.
I wish you had all been as distraught at the 241 Marines who died because of Reagan's malfeasance.
Nothing like an honest party member to bring out the retards with torches.
Why wasn't Pedo-Pete at Arlington, to check his watch?Zeets2 » 27 Aug 2024, 8:31 am » wrote: ↑ No, what's "amazing" is how any veteran can possibly look at Biden's gross neglect that killed 13 Marines needlessly, and not only still have been willing to support Biden even after his entire party agreed on his total incompetence, but now can happily transition to support a useless bureaucrat with ZERO accomplishments as VP and multiple failures, despite her inability to ever win a single delegate in two primaries.

Not me, lady. I blame Reagan for abandoning FDR's economic game rules that built the middle class and made America great IN THE FIRST PLACE. The same game rules that Trump is at minimum playing lip service to when he promises to impose tariffs that with BRING AMERICAN JOBS HOME. The game rules that FDR Democrats stood for, for fifty years, earning the votes of working people.maineman » 27 Aug 2024, 10:01 am » wrote: ↑ you scrotum suckers name **** airports after that blithering idiot!

No **** way!!!
THIS is Biden's priority!
There's the candidate who swore that she and Joe are working "around the clock" for the people of this country.
Sure they are; one from under an umbrella at the beach and the other hustling for campaign contributions.
Well, maybe instead of trying to create nonsensical reasons to brew your hatred Reagan for the past 40 years, you could reflect instead on the tens of millions of Europeans he freed from the yoke of communism by forcing the dissolution of the Soviet Empire as he did?maineman » 27 Aug 2024, 9:39 am » wrote: ↑ We'll just have to agree to disagree. I am a lifelong Democrat. I have, however, voted on occasion for independents and moderate republicans in local and state elections, and, in 1980, I even voted for John Anderson over Jimmy Carter, my fellow USNA alumnus, because I was so pissed that he hadn't bombed Tehran back into the stone age after they invaded our embassy.
In this election, I would vote for ANYONE not named Trump. If Trump were the Democratic nominee, I'd vote for even the most vociferous pro-life Republican to keep that clown from another term.
And your continued reverence for Reagan after HE allowed the murder of 241 Marines is telling.

She is PRETENDING to hustle for donations, to put on a front of running a campaign.
The real campaign is being run by the computers that will tally the votes, stealing the election. Again.
The fall of the Soviet Union was a result of a long, unbroken line of US Presidents from Eisenhower on and their administrations, state departments, and defense departments - arm in arm with our NATO allies - all doing their jobs. Reagan gets credit for participating in that steady, cohesive display of allied strength and determination. He didn't win it, and he wasn't even in office when the Cold War WAS finally won. He did his part, but so did his predecessors.Zeets2 » 27 Aug 2024, 10:37 am » wrote: ↑ Well, maybe instead of trying to create nonsensical reasons to brew your hatred Reagan for the past 40 years, you could reflect instead on the tens of millions of Europeans he freed from the yoke of communism by forcing the dissolution of the Soviet Empire as he did?
If you compare all the positive things you can think of to support both Biden and Kamala and piled them on top of one another, it wouldn't come close to matching the greatness of Reagan for how just that one singular act of distinction benefitted the entire world!
But of course, that would interfere with your own disturbed mantra of Democrat: Good, Republican: Bad.
Shallow Hal's got nothing on you!
She isn't campaigning. There is a front of a campaign, where the Wall Street calls invitation-only meetings "rallies."jefftec » 27 Aug 2024, 10:49 am » wrote: ↑ "The real campaign is being run by the computers that will tally the votes, stealing the election. Again."

GFY
You're a partisan hack and an illiterate fool. I served in uniform for 25 years, the first 23 of which were during the Cold War. Reagan did his part, but I know what our continued pressure on the Soviet Union during my entire time in service accomplished. It wasn't won by the actions in the 80's alone.Zeets2 » 27 Aug 2024, 12:08 pm » wrote: ↑ ****, HE DIDN'T!
The USSR collapsed for one reason and ONE REASON ALONE!
It fell because Reagan made it clear that they US would continue growing in strength with the billions he allocated for our military, knowing full well that an attempt to keep up with the US would totally bankrupt the Soviet Union.
And a liberal scumbag like you would rather invent phony failures than admit how Reagan deserves the lion's share of the credit, even as American traitors like Ted "the swimmer" Kennedy were giving aid and comfort to the enemy, telling Yuri Andropov that his Democrat party would do its best to reign in the "reckless cowboy" Reagan!
But have you presented a single syllable of outrage against Teddy, the murderer? Nope, you save that phony animus for Reagan while heaping praise on traitors in your party like him, Biden, Obama, Kerry, and Kamala!
