Discussion over.  You posted that the AR 15 was place in the civilian model list with its different design and it was never standard military issue meaning.

If it was the same design it would not have been on the civilian list due to its different design.

It is a n intermediate powered cartridge that is not particularly powerful.  That is why the military is moving away from the platform.
