Sorry Novice, that is the cru of the matter.  You claim the Sporter is a weapon of war yet it was never issued to the troops as a weapon of war.  I didn't get a single shot semi automatic.  I got an automatic M16.

Office Boy, please post when the Colt Sporter was standard combat issue.  What are you afraid of, Snow Bunny?   Office Boy, I was never issued a single shot semi auto as a combat rifle.  Aways the M 16 when I was not a crew member.

Just post when the Sporter you whine was designed for war was actually military issue for combat.  I was never issues a single shot semi auto rifle for combat.  I was issued a automatic M 16 on the rare occasion I was not in a flying unit.
