Nah, I have been saying that is why you fear them for 7 years now. I suppose someone will post these ads that are so troubling.Blackvegetable » 10 Sep 2024, 2:02 pm » wrote: ↑ No...it is the reason Insurance companies paid 75 million for Sandy Hook.
To argue that the look is unrelated to the marketing would require a gormlessness of which only a Grifty rube could possibly be possessed.
You demand to be quoted, verbatim, and in considerable context.....you, on the other hand, freely paraphrase and restate.

My argument has been, and remains, that it is idiotic to promiscuously distribute a weapon designed and developed for combat to civilians.
That is about FUNCTION.
Repeat.
It is MARKETED on the basis of its look, and that is
a) a violation of the law under which they were made legal
b) the reason insurance companies paid 75 million for Samdy Hook.

Parts changed include the lower receiver, bolt carrier, hammer, trigger, disconnector, and safety/mode selector. The semi-automatic bolt carrier has a longer lightening slot to prevent the bolt's engagement with an automatic sear. Due to a decrease in mass, the buffer spring is heavier. On the select-fire version, the hammer has an extra spur which interacts with the additional auto-sear that holds it back until the bolt carrier group is fully in battery, when the automatic fire is selected.[74]Using a portion of the select fire parts in a semi-automatic rifle will not enable a select fire option (this requires a registered part with the ATF). Lower receivers that are select-fire are identified by a pinhole above the safety/mode selection switch.[75][76][77][78] As designed by Colt, the pins supporting the semi-auto trigger and hammer in the lower receiver are larger than those used in the military rifle to prevent interchangeability between semi-automatic and select-fire components. The pivot pin may also be slightly larger in diameter.[79][80]

To modify a GTI to Stage 1 requires a chip, and a new air intake.
To go Stage 2, you need a new chip, a downpipe and a euro clutch.
None of those modifications require a different design.
