I'm no biker, but I seem to remember that the throttle is on the right  and that it is "sprung" so that if you release your grip it reverts to starting position.

Were Grifty to do as pictured, he would be within seconds of a nasty case of facial road rash...

What motorcycle had a left hand throttle?

Indian, at the time, also put their throttle controls on the left handlebar. Their early bikes had a carburetor on the left side of the engine, so in an era before standardization, it made sense to put the throttle on the same side as the carb.


Also, you can customize a bike with a left handed throttle.
