Yet another explanation that does not involve outer space.

UFO simply means Unidentified Flying Object.
What is it about a flying disk - other than conditioning from movies - that suggests interstellar travel?
Yes, they fly far better than we do. ON EARTH.*Vegas » 22 Sep 2024, 8:30 pm » wrote: ↑ These things are reported to fly maneuvers that defy physics. We can't replicate that. Especially back in 2000 BC.

In what was does this suggest they are based lightyears from the Earth?
I mean, where have we seen them? To my knowledge, we have only ever seen them ON EARTH. There is no evidence they are on Pluto. In fact, there is evidence to the contrary. Ditto Neptune.
How does their superior understanding of physics suggest they are from a world other than the only one on which we encounter them.?
I mean, do you understand everything about a porpoise? A spider? A manta ray? Can we replicate what they do with out technology? We cannot. But this doesn't mean they're from some other galaxy. They're from Earth. And how do we know this? We know this because we have only ever encountered them on Earth.

Every invention that mankind has ever made, from the beginning of our existence, to the present day was and is made from the natural 90 elements on that most spectacular periodic table. There are 118, but I am referring to the natural elements. These elements never changed throughout our history. The extra elements were created from the other natural elements. That being said, how come mankind couldn't make advanced technology at any time as soon as they figured out how to make fire? There are many other examples.
- There was a steam engine built, from an Egyptian mathematician in the 1st century AD. It worked.
- The compass was invented in 200BC in China. This means they had to know about magnetism.
- The Antikythera Mechanism was an analog computer made in 3000BC. It used over 30 gear wheels to track astrological events.
- A mechanical clock, not one where you depend on stargazing and seasons, an actual mechanical clock with gears and springs was invented in 2000 BC.
Here is where it gets really interesting. Around the same time these major advancements were born there were hieroglyphics depicting alien crafts and beings. This happens all through history up to the present. Notice that there have been more UFO sightings recently. And what life changing technology are we embarking on today? AI.
The theory goes that we are being given technology , or help with it, by some intelligent life outside Earth.
In other words, not only are we not alone, but we are also primitive and hopeless to some advanced race out there.

It might - hold on, let me check.
My own theory is that they arrived here when a belt of water circled the earth, filtering out much of the sun's harmful rays while letting the beneficial ones through. Everything lived longer - and many things got much. much bigger. Our human progenitors were small and big-eyed, and not at the top of the food chain.DeezerShoove » 23 Sep 2024, 6:20 am » wrote: ↑ Octopus DNA is off the track too. One odd little fellow.
btw
It is surmised that space itself is expanding so fast that lightspeed travel won't get us much farther than the nearest stars.
Lightspeed is the top limit. Imagine an ant running along a rubber band and you stretch the rubber band while he is moving.
From his prespective, he can still be traveling top speed but the goal is advancing away too.
The nearly incomprehensible concept is that from his origin point it would seem his velocity would have to be greater than lightspeed,
but it is not. The space has expanded, not his speed.
So, to embrace this concept, one has to accept wormholes or something for interstellar or (even more so) intergalactic travel.
The observable universe is unfathomably huge much less the rest of it that we have no idea about.
And it is always expanding (adding conflicts to the theoretical mix about time and space).
So...
If there are aliens, maybe they are "accidental tourists".
Did a wormhole pop them into our neighborhood?
Is there any such thing as "control" over wormhole entry/exit points?
Are their species so fragile they cannot reveal themselves for fear of extinction?
(maybe a generation to them is a thousand years...)
Sure. Your mind belongs to he judges while your brain does what it was nurtured since birth to do, stay in character come Hell or high water.Cannonpointer » 23 Sep 2024, 8:07 am » wrote: ↑ It might - hold on, let me check.
Okay, I looked into it.
The judges say the idea merits consideration. This means you were incorrect.
Not me saying it - the judges decided.

for me, it is not difficult to understand why this would be the case tracing how humans pursued knowledge and how it changed over time.
But I would agree it was the product of some 'alien' advanced intelligence. That was the european of the 18th century. Nobody alive today compares. Including europeans.
