The fact is that being labeled a "liberal" became detrimental for Democrats years ago when it became synonymous with both socialism and communism.  And labels are too important to Democrats to let that continue, so they created a new label for themselves and naturally, most Democrat sheep jumped right on board and happily dropped their previous label which was becoming harder and harder to defend.

In much the same way, blacks have constantly changed THEIR label over the last 50 years.  Calling blacks "colored" rather than Negro or just "***" was their preference 70 years ago, until they stupidly opted for "African-American" as their label, regardless of the fact that millions of blacks NEVER had African ancestors, besides the reality that there have been millions of Caucasian living in Africa then and now.  And when THAT label became a negative (or when they realized how stupid it was), they settled on changing their label once again, this time to "black", despite the fact that a huge percentage are far closer to brown than black.  Who knows what label they'll demand next?

Both are nothing more than Democrats taking ownership of terms they like, and redefining what those labels actually mean, as if they came down from the Mount with their new label on a tablet from Moses!

And ignorant Democrat lemmings dutifully jump right on board and follow their decree, just like you've done.
