Charity organization Latet also says proportion of households close to poverty line, experiencing food insecurity and financial distress, rose to nearly 25% since pandemic began

By Ricky Ben-David  23 December 2021Over 2.5 million Israelis currently live in poverty, among them more than 1.1 million children, and 932,000 households live in a state of economic distress, a new survey released this week revealed. Of these 932,000 households (31.6% of all households in Israel), 233,000 were added in 2021 alone, as families grappled with the worst economic effects of the ongoing pandemic.

National Insurance Institute issues 2022 Report on Poverty and Income Inequality
By JERUSALEM POST STAFF  JANUARY 1, 2024

On Thursday, December 28, the National Insurance Institute of Israel published its Report on Poverty and Inequality of Income for 2022. This is the official poverty report of the State of Israel, based on the administrative data of all Israeli citizens. Two significant data points stand out in the report - a substantial increase in the number of citizens entering the poverty cycle in Israel and a dramatic worsening of the situation of families already in the cycle. According to the data, in 2022, there were 1.98 million individuals living below the poverty line in Israel, including 873,300 children and 152,500 senior citizens. The data indicates a 300,000 year-on-year increase over the 2021 report, which had the number of people living below the poverty line at 1.95 million.
Have you got any more lies or pure stupidity you need me to dispel for lying, Jew-hating scumbags like yourself?

Israel fights ‘massacre denial’ by widening audience for graphic film of Oct. 7 attacksImageInvitation for a screening of Bearing Witness to the October 7th Massacre, a compilation of graphic footage of the massacres carried out by Hamas.

By Beth Harpaz November 7, 2023

A 43-minute film documenting atrocities committed by Hamas on Oct. 7 is getting a wider audience with screenings for Jewish organizations and Hollywood celebrities.

The American Jewish Committee said it was providing the venue for an invitation-only screening Tuesday in New York at the behest of the Israeli Consulate. The Weitzman National Museum of American Jewish History in Philadelphia is planning a screening for Thursday. And Israeli actor Gal Gadot organized screenings in New York and Los Angeles for heavy hitters from the entertainment world. The Anti-Defamation League said via email that it was working with “several partners” to “support the screenings. Measures are being taken to help those in attendance process what they will be bearing witness to.”

The film, Bearing Witness to the October 7 Massacre, was put together by the Israel Defense Forces. While some of the footage came from Israeli security cameras, much of it was shot by Hamas gunmen themselves on cellphones, GoPros and bodycams as they carried out the attacks.
“Why did they film their sadistic violence?” Israel’s U.N. ambassador, Gilad Erdan, asked rhetorically as he addressed the U.N. General Assembly on Oct. 27. “They filmed it in order to terrorize the Israeli public, to release these videos and put fear in the hearts of citizens of Israel.” Erdan then held an iPad up to show the room one of the more gruesome scenes from the footage: a Hamas fighter attempting to decapitate a Thai agricultural worker with a garden hoe.

Unspeakable horrorsThe graphic footage includes unspeakable horrors: bodies with limbs askew at impossible angles, a child shot in the eye screaming, “Why am I alive?” after seeing his father gunned down, a Hamas militant calling his parents to boast, “I killed 10 Jews with my own hands.”
Hope you enjoy it, Jew hater!  Don't forget your popcorn,

Since you insisted, here are the facts:
About two million Israelis live below the poverty line - reportBituach Leumi (National Insurance) published a short and overdue report from past data on poverty and inequality in Israel.By MAARIV ONLINEJANUARY 22, 2021 Bituach Leumi (National Insurance) published a short and overdue report from past data on poverty and inequality in Israel, due to a delay in the arrival of data from the Central Bureau of Statistics on which the report is usually based, given the general chaos in the last two years of political-governmental paralysis. Nevertheless, the data from this year's report also show that alongside the socio-economic crisis of the past year, the one that preceded it, 2019, was characterized by a social deterioration without a functioning government in Israel (recall that the political crisis began with the dissolution of the 20th Knesset exactly two years ago). According to the report, 1,980,309 Israelis live below the poverty line, as of last year, according to Bituach Leumi. This is 23% of Israeli citizens and 31.7% of Israeli children. In the Arab sector, 702,832 are poor, with 346,397 of this population being children. In the Jewish population, the proportion of the poor is 17.7%, but in the ultra-Orthodox sector alone, it is 49%.
So are you still dumb enough to try to make the claim that those 17.7% of Jews in Israel and 49% of the ultra-orthodox Jews are rich?

Proof positive that you're nothing but a Jew-hating liar and a scumbag to deny the facts, which you should have first investigated for yourself before climbing out on that ridiculously thin branch if you had an ounce of brains!

Israel provides universal coverage to citizens and permanent residents as part of its national health insurance law. Residents choose from four competing nonprofit health plans that provide a mandated benefit package, including hospital, primary, specialty, mental health, and maternity care, as well as prescription drugs and other services. There are no deductibles, but some cost-sharing is required for specialist visits and prescription drugs. The compulsory insurance system is funded primarily through a national income tax and an income-related health tax. Most citizens also purchase voluntary health insurance for medications not covered by the benefit package and for faster access and greater provider choice. Almost all governmental health functions are organized by the Ministry of Health, which has regional and district health offices.1Sections

---------------------------------------------------------------------------- blockade Israel has been imposing on the Gaza Strip for more than 15 years has crushed Gaza’s healthcare system. The level of medical services available falls far short of residents’ needs, and there is a constant shortage of medicines and medical equipment. In 2022, as in previous years, patients who need medical care unavailable in Gaza are the ones to pay the price: Israel forces them  to file for permits to leave the Gaza Strip in an exhausting bureaucratic process, extending also to the persons accompanying them. The criteria for approving these requests are unknown and the grounds for rejection are never disclosed. Many of the requests go unanswered, and patients must apply time and again without knowing whether they will ever get the permit they desperately need to reach hospital in the West Bank, East Jerusalem or Israel. In keeping with its past policy, Israel rejected thousands of applications in 2022, denying more than 20,000 requests by patients and persons escorting them to access medical care in hospitals outside Gaza. Some applicants received no answer at all by the scheduled appointment.  According to World Health Organization (WHO) figures, 20,411 applications for medical exit permits from the Gaza Strip were submitted in 2022. About 51% were for treatment in East Jerusalem hospitals, about 31% for hospitals elsewhere in the West Bank, and about 18% for hospitals within Israel. The Israeli DCO rejected 6,848 (34%) of the applications, in some cases directly informing patients their application was denied and in others providing no response before the scheduled appointment. Of the applications submitted, 9,641 were for women, 2,935 (30%) of which were rejected; 6,254 were for minors, 1,906 (30%) of which were rejected; and 3,875 were for patients over the age of 60, 843 (22%) of which were rejected. Additionally, 219 patients were called in for interrogation by the Israel Security Agency at Erez Crossing as a condition for examining their application, including 66 cancer patients, 38 women, and 26 patients over the age of 60. The vast majority of these – 91% – were rejected. Requests by Gazan patients to enter the West Bank or Israel for medical care DENIED in 2022ImageData from World Health Organization (WHO)

The Palestinian health system under Israeli occupationAlthough the Geneva Conventions and other international treaties stipulate that occupying powers must provide medical resources and ensure the right to health for populations under its occupation, Israel has ignored these obligations for Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.44 Instead, in 1994, the Palestinian Ministry of Health was established to independently oversee health care provision in areas under Palestinian Authority administration.45 The Palestinian Ministry of Health provides the majority of services but remains dependent on nongovernmental organizations, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees, the Palestinian Military Medical Services, and private for-profit organizations to augment its limited health care infrastructure.46 While the Oslo Accords gave Palestinians without Israeli citizenship autonomy over their own health care system, they did not give Palestinians autonomy over fundamental resources within the domain of public health, including control over water, land, and movement of peoples and goods.47 The result is considerable racial disparities in the distribution of these resources between Palestinian and Jewish Israeli settlement communities in the West Bank
