I am pretty sure if a platoon leader can be relieved of command a Seal Team assault team leader can be as well:

Admit your mistake.  He was not relieved of command at ST6.

That was my point.  I have readily admitted that convicted felon and fraud, Dick Marcinko did relieve him of his squad leader duties.  The NAVY obviously liked the cut of McRaven's jib a lot better than they did Marcinko's.  He never made it any higher and only managed to get caught defrauding the government and doing hard time whereas McRaven got four stars.

The most drastic verbage that anyone can use in this case was "YOU ARE FIRED". and McRaven was most certainly FIRED for incompetence.
No doubt ST6 Commander Marchinko saw weakness in Maine Man's Hero that would increase the risk of our men getting killed and of missions ending up botched.

Your own link stated he was relieved of his squad leader DUTIES.

And beyond all that is the unrefutable fact that Marcinko was a loser and a felon and McRaven had an illustrious career.  

This afternoon, I iMessaged my retired Navy Seal Captain classmate who had been McRaven's mentor.  I asked him if he knew Marcinko and could shed light on the McRaven firing.  He just answered me back:

"Yes I did.  Later, I helped send him to prison.  The McRaven story is simply that Bill (as a JO) did not go along with Marcinko’s disdain for the rules.  Dick was a lot like Trump… but in uniform"

The article says he was relieved of "duty."  They were right.  You were - and stubbornly, stupidly, continue to be - wrong.

And above and beyond that, he was relieved of duty, as a young JO, by a loser... a fraud and a felon who went to prison, while Bill McRaven excelled as a leader who rose as high as anyone can go in the military... but you would put more stock in the convict.  Sad.
