My family and I were very much in a serious conversation about selling everything and changing the direction of the water when our toilets flushed, if the *** had won the election. As much as you and I distrust Trump, I absolutely trusted the *** to end my ability to live peacefully in this country. With Trump winning, my family is no longer in a conversation about becoming rootless expats.
I am in the company of people who understand the world as I understand it - with the single limitation that they think Trump is Jesus. These days, much of my life and energy is dedicated to the wellbeing of my loved ones - and not to the comfort of my own being. Here, I am a blessing. There, I am a memory. And I would rather be a blessing in their lives than a memory.
