Frankly, in terms of the crimes the Bidens are strongly suspected of, the crimes Hunter was convicted of were trivial anyway. The aspect of the pardon that's unconscionable is the apparent 10 year blanket pardon from 2014, protecting Hunter from prosecution for any potentially far more serious allegations involving him and his father's business dealings (involvement with Burisma Holdings, for instance).
