IM gonna tell ya why too under the Former Soviet Union Russia had great Industial capacity 

After 1992 & the "Dissalution" of Soviet Union people like Putin & Oligarchs took over everything with the Military at their side.

Later 1990s the Ruble completely "collapssed" left most average Russian people "Starving" 2 Death..

2000s Putin got "Eleceted" been running Russia ever since.

Now people will say Russia has a "Flat Tax" & yes thats true.

But their biggest revenue line is Vodka Taxes.

Years ago Moscow raised the taxes on Vodka.

Then people started drinking bath lotion with "Methanol" people started dropping like Flies too..

In Response Moscow was forced to lower taxes on Vodka

The average Russian Citizen "consumes" 22 Liters of Vodka "Annually"

Then we got smart did away with prohobition even FDR 1933 took a sip of beer to celebrate
