Of course they CAN be raised, but why would they if they're not required to pay the tariff while dozens of other car brands are?  Those American made cars will reap huge new sales volume as people adjust they're purchases to buy fewer foreign cars and more domestically made cars.  And many of those who import parts will undoubtedly change their suppliers to domestic ones so they too can enjoy that huge jump in sales.

us car prices made in america will be raised so us cars made in mexico by us car companies will also  be bought and the us car companies will charge more for imported parts raised by trump's idiotic taxes.
