We know “they” have been at it for a very long time. DUBYA attempted a partial privatization but it failed, probably because Republicans’ own constituents wrote angry letters and shouted at the top of their lungs over angry phone calls.
Since then, there has not been any serious attempt - but I can sense one coming in the next 5 yrs.
My guess is they will use the next wave of banking failures and financial collapse to push through “reforms.”
Remember, code words like “fix,” “overhaul,” and “reform,” are merely silent speak for screwing peons over.
Why does every “tax reform” (minus 1986) open up more loopholes (designed for the ultra wealthy) than it closes?
Why does every “immigration policy fix” since 1965 let in more illegals and legals?
Such a coincidence the wind blows one way every time +_+
