Not saying it didn't happen.  I am saying that the fact both were on post that has almost 60,000 active duty troops at any given moment AND both, who had financial problems, used an app that caters to those with bad credit is enough to connect to a conspiracy,

I need more.  Unlike manymhere (not you) I don't everything.  I have a good friend who was stationed at Bragg (Liberty) during time I was TDY there.  Never saw him.

Nope, not necessarily:How affluent are enlisted recruits?Most members of the military come from middle-class neighborhoods. The middle three quintiles for household income were overrepresented among enlisted recruits, and the top and bottom quintiles were underrepresented.

I never saw so many kids who didn't know how to tie boot laces, couldn't read or write letters to or from home, who fainted in the shot line at the sight of the needle because they had never before seen a doctor....until I got sent to Ft Leonardwood Missouri in 1973.
Bear in mind that the Negro population of  draftees was at least 1/3 of these extremely impoverished examples.

I was at Ft Lost in the Woods for Basic in 83.  Saw some of the same things.  But in the 90s and 2000s things changed.  White kids joined for adventure and educational bennies. Went mostly into combat arms.  Did enough for the GI bill and ETSED.  Black kids joined for a career.  Many in support roles like clerical and maintenance.
