When someone is pointing a gun at you and you keep moving towards them what do you think will happen?

The American people have spoken, pook. Democracy is a hell of a thing.
LOL! You are right, Babbit getting shot may have contributed to Trump winning the election.Cannonpointer » 08 Jan 2025, 9:31 am » wrote: ↑ You will very likely be shot.
And when the voters reject a jury verdict from a fixed trial, what do YOU think will happen?
Trump will be elected - that's what.
Thanks for the homophobia. You have been played.

So, I don't know if this "new video" has been out for some time or not, but I just had a chance to see it. Several things I didn't realize, probably because I didn't give it much thought before.
There was a group of people who were already well inside of the Capital building. I guess they were trying to get at wherever the legislators where hiding out. Ashli Babbit was one of the ones in the front, and there were two men beside her ramming security glass repeatedly with flag poles to try and gain entry. Somehow, I guess someone smashed the glass over to the side, and this is where Babbit climbed up and tried to enter.
The first thing I'm going to say is she and the other two really F-ed around and found out. I thought she was climbing in from the outside and into the front area of the Capital previously. I didn't realize just how far inside they were.
The capital cop had his gun pointed at her for quite some time. She probably should have stopped. He didn't shoot until she climbed up on the window opening and tried to get past that particular barrier.
Was this a "bad shoot"? The cop could have possibly jumped her and cuffed her, once on the other side. But, if he did that while the other two continued to bash the windows in, he could have been overrun. I would say that if no one else was physically beating on the other glass trying to gain entry, it would be a bad shoot. But, given the totality of the circumstances, I honestly can't say that. Judgment call on his part, IMHO.
I'm sure I'll get some **** for saying this. I would like to know how others would justify NOT shooting her, given the circumstances. I also question why the cops behind her didn't grab these people and cuff them.
Somewhere, perhaps, but I didn't see any in the video. There was one guy in a suit walking across the hall - don't know who he was.*Huey » 08 Jan 2025, 10:33 am » wrote: ↑ As I remember it there were legislators on the other side of the door.
As I recall that was the Speakers Lobby they were trying to enter. I can understand her getting shot because of the Speaker's place in the line of succession.Skans » 08 Jan 2025, 10:36 am » wrote: ↑ Somewhere, perhaps, but I didn't see any in the video. I haven't paid attention either since the whole scenario was staged in the first place. But why didn't the security guy shoot the 2 males first? Again I watched the video of the guard leading the mob into separate rooms and that was some really bad acting scared because the mob wasn't rushing him, they were following at his pace as he faked stumbling for the videos..Skans » 07 Jan 2025, 5:52 pm » wrote: ↑ https://www.nbcnews.com/video/capitol-s ... 9180613572

It is why he, not Biden, is 2XWorse than Buchanan.
Nid.
Because, they were still on the other side of the locked security doors punching the glass with a flagpole and a fist like mindless zombies. But, Babbit somehow wedged her body through a broken window and was prepared to leap into that hallway. She got shot. COULD it have been handled differently? Yes. Did the cop HAVE TO handle it differently? No.31stArrival » 08 Jan 2025, 11:20 am » wrote: ↑ I haven't paid attention either since the whole scenario was staged in the first place. Yeah, and the guards didn't harm anyone near the entrance to the Capital. Ask yourself -could these people have been armed? Yes. Were they going single-file through security to ensure they didn't have guns and knives? No.Again I watched the video of the guard leading the mob into separate rooms and that was some really bad acting scared because the mob wasn't rushing him, they were following at his pace as he faked stumbling for the videos..
