"What these people really want, hidden behind obscure legal phrases, is the legal right to propose to our children that theirs is an acceptable alternate way of life. ... I will lead such a crusade to stop it as this country has not seen before." This was in response to a 1977 Dade County ordinance that wanted to make it illegal to discriminate against homosexuals teaching in Christian schools, etc. She was able to get the ordinance repealed 69 to 31 percent.
Her beliefs actually mirror my own "I'm more inclined to say live and let live, just don't flaunt it or try to legalize it."
