Furthermore, if you decide that you need/want less.. you have to reapply. Those grant applications are onerous. One time should be enough. Just make it to where you modify the amount (up or down) and that should be enough. Another dirty little secret is that if you get federal grant funding for a software package.. you are up a creek if you decide to discontinue it. These software packages are legitimate but bloody expensive and sometimes are just not what you are looking for upon second blush.
