Are you too ignorant to grasp the fact that US avocado growers will see their sales increase as a result of that Trump tariff on Mexico? Or is it just that you hate ANYTHING that benefits the American economy if Trump does it, while adoring the stupidity of Biden when he intentionally caused the price of gas to triple?

It does not take a phd to figure that tariffs will cause inflation in the short term. Could we grow avocadoes in Southern Arizona, Southern California, or Texas? Yes.. but not at the same low cost.

Oh, so you're saying that the new Trump tariff WON'T have any effect on the price of imported avocados sold in the US?
Because if that's the case, it means that the Mexican avocado growers have absorbed the Trump tariff in order to be price competitive with the US avocado growers, doesn't it?
This tariff will be a huge boon to the California growers, and the only Americans that pay ANY of that tariff are the ones (probably like you) who are dumb enough to spend an extra 25 cents to buy an imported one!
