USAID is only a small fraction of the federal discretionary spending. It's unlikely it will make even a dent. Not that I don't support it. It's a good idea. At least it may send a message to other countries that America is tired of carrying their asses.

I wish they would consider cutting aid to Israel. Though that is also only a fraction of our spending, it would still solve a lot of the world's problems.
Congress annually appropriates money for USAID to spend, primarily for foreign aid and internationally focused charities. Its budget for the 2023 fiscal year was about $40 billion, according to a report last month from the Congressional Research Service. That’s a tiny fraction of the overall federal discretionary spending of $1.7 trillion

It usually ends up funding crime organizations. The money goes to these corrupt governments instead of the people who need it. They use it to fund their human trafficking and drug pushing businesses.

C'mon man, what could go wrong?

Our Mission: On behalf of the American people, we promote and demonstrate democratic values abroad, and advance a free, peaceful, and prosperous world. In support of America's foreign policy, the U.S. Agency for International Development leads the U.S. Government's international development and disaster assistance through partnerships and investments that save lives, reduce poverty, strengthen democratic governance, and help people emerge from humanitarian crises and progress beyond assistance...

Stupid Dem thinking. It's only a little part of the budget. So. If you have a bunch of little parts they equal big money. If you don't consistently save on everything you save on nothing. Cut everything wasteful.

Bro, its never about helping anyone..... other than US hegemony.
USAID prepares the ground early, like plowing at the end of winter.

Find the cracks and exploit them, buy quislings in all areas of society, foment a color revolution,
pay student protestors......and its off to the races.

We have just witnessed this in Georgia and Romania.

If the Panama President had not bowed to kiss Trumpy feet....
get ready... a regime change attempt would have come quickly to Panama.

True. I have always been surprised that we haven't taken over the Democratic Republic of the Congo in Africa. That place is a cesspool of impoverished peopled that the US would love to exploit. They are rich in minerals such as, cobalt, copper, diamonds, gold, lithium, and tantalum. It would be a perfect lie. The US would say that they are trying to protect and help them while exploiting them. Nobody would question it.

ha ha ha ha ha, what is the single source of all the worlds' problems among alternate realities, parallel universes, in a multiverse of limitless possible dimensions?

Common point of balancing outcomes of all the ancestries lived so far becoming the last 5 generation gaps inhabiting space today being the 8.12 billion soles in this atmosphere now all 24 time zones separated by dawn and dusk, International dateline and Greenwich prime meridian plus the 12 temperate zones each side of the equator?

Everyone's brain navigates this situation equally regardless ancestral lineage and generation gap present, geographical position inhabiting space here.

When everyone receiving USAID bites the hands giving it, stop giving it to them. this country under Trump will become self reliant again in the next 4 years.

lead by exemply not promise better tomorrows believing now isn't eternity. This country was founded on respecting the natural order of evolving in plain sight that got lost in less than 4 generation gaps this country is on numbers 10 -12.

the historical average every world power imploded within itself wishing now wasn't eternity. the infamous New World Order.
