I don't doubt that Musk will be able to expose some corruption. However, I don't think he will be able to expose a significant amount of it. Keep in mind, the USAID is a very small percent of the total budget. Saving on that doesn't even make a dent...more like a scratch. The real corruption will be far deeper that involves global parties, not just the US government. Musk is used to firing whoever the hell he wants. They are his companies. He can't do that in the government. Yes, there are some that he can, but those aren't all that influential anyway. Musk made it sound like it would be easy. However, he has limited power. A lot less than being a CEO. He can't touch the global actors on this stage without the threat of war. I don't know if he wants to risk American blood for that.

I wouldn't say it's painful, it's fun to watch them melt down.. and it has been only two weeks, I can't imagine what they will like after two months, two years.. lol.. if is goes on like this they will probably commit suicide..

Are you saying that if Trump directly cut the huge waste that Musk has uncovered that you'd be happy with it?

The fact that you're extremely limited business acumen can't comprehend the reality that the largest companies in their field (whether that be Tesla, Walmart, or Home Depot) DO NOT get hurt if their government subsidies are cancelled.  And that's because Tesla can afford to lose those subsidies when their smaller competitors cannot!  And when the competition dies out, the largest company grabs a larger share of the market, enabling them to raise their prices once the competition is gone!

Why do you think a company like Walmart always FAVORS a minimum wage increase that they know will cost them a much more expensive payroll?  They do so because they know that the smaller retailers they compete with WILL OFTEN BE FORCED OUT OF BUSINESS due to the higher costs they can't afford to absorb the way Walmart can.  Don't you imagine that Home Depot thrives when smaller, "mom & pop" hardware stores are forced to close down?
