Matt Schlapp, the chairman of the the American Conservative Union, "allegedly engaged in lewd conduct and allegedly sexually assaulted a man at a restaurant and bar in Virginia on Saturday night‚" according to Ali’s reporting. Ali reported in “The Reset” newsletter that he spoke with six witnesses and the man who accused Schlapp of sexual assault.
Ali reported that Schlapp “spent over an hour repeatedly standing very close to groups of men,” making them “uncomfortable” at times. The sources told Ali that Schlapp was within two feet of these men, despite there being plenty of space in the bar to move around.

The people who were interviewed said that one man’s girlfriend confronted Mr. Schlapp, who was accused by the man and several witnesses of grabbing and gripping the man’s genitals while looking directly in the man’s eyes, before Mr. Schlapp was briefly escorted out of the bar by a manager.
