Although, there really are some very cool ultralights out there now.  When I retire.......  Just what I need, another hobby.

Ultra lights were really popular in my neck of the woods before the area became overpopulated.
There was usually the annual story about a plane that had to make an emergency landing in a Farmer's field or else on one of our "lightly used" highways
The loudest of the loud and slowest of the slow was a home built "auto gyro copter"
I saw it up close once and the main rotor hub was a steel water pipe fitting you would see in a fire sprinkler system,
The control cables were common hardware store quality.
It was kind of scary looking, but the damn thing was airworthy and the dude put a lot of miles on it.

I noticed a Sonex jet on that video.  Capable of well over 200mph!  Looks like the Sonex I posted....just with a jet.  Please, don't tell me that I can have one of those with minimal flight time and no aviation license!!!  Because, I think I just found what I'll be doing when I retire.

That jet was impresive...!
Jets are less forgiving during landings, since you no longer have the propeller blast washing over your control surfaces at landing speed.
You'd need to find someone with actual experience [and an unbiased opinion] to confirm if this is an issue with the Sonex.Jet
