Refugees, immigrants, and migrants (RIM) in the United States (US) have been identified as an underimmunized population prior to the COVID-19 pandemic. Vaccine acceptance is critical to combat the public health threat incited by COVID-19 and other vaccine-preventable disease. To better understand escalating vaccine hesitancy among US RIM, a comprehensive evaluation of the problem and solutions is necessary. In this systematic review, we included 57 studies to describe vaccination rates, barriers, and interventions addressing vaccine hesitancy over the past decade. Meta-analysis was performed among 22 studies, concluding that RIM represent an underimmunized population compared to the general US population. Narrative synthesis and qualitative methods were used to identify critical barriers, including gaps in knowledge, poor access to medical care, and heightened distrust of the medical system. Our results demonstrate the need for effective, evidence-based interventions to increase vaccination rates among diverse RIM populations.

Recent outbreaks of vaccine-preventable diseases (VPD) in the United States (US) reveal the critical need to combat vaccine hesitancy. The reemergence of measles and poliovirus, along with continued morbidity and mortality associated with COVID-19, emphasizes the necessity for increased vaccination efforts.1–4 The US is home to an increasingly global community, with over 44 million refugees, immigrants, and migrants (RIM).5 This global patient population carries risks for VPD from host countries, sociocultural and environmental influences that have significant impacts on their health.6 Low immunization rates have been reported within RIM communities, placing them at increased risk for VPD.7–9 This risk may be amplified during the COVID-19 pandemic amid rising vaccine hesitancy and health inequities that have been linked to a disproportionate burden of disease.10 The health of this global community directly impacts the health of the entire nation, emphasizing the need for an effective national public health response.

Notice the date on the article? All of this "Science" was buried and then lied about to protect the Biden administration.

Same thing is happening in Europe, but that is getting buried too...

You forgot about breaking out in bitch *** itch?

I had it when I was a kid, IIRC I was about 6 at the time. That would have been around 1959 or 1960, around there anyway.

I was thinking German measles. Rubellla.

Rubella is usually mild, but it can be serious for pregnant women. If a pregnant woman becomes infected with rubella, the virus can cross the placenta and infect the developing baby, leading to birth defects known as congenital rubella syndrome (CRS). CRS can cause a range of problems, including:
Hearing loss, Eye defects, Heart defects, Intellectual disability, and Death.

People used to spreading some of these, what are now terrifying, diseases on purpose just to get it out of the way.

Multiple families with kids would get together with someone who has the disease and they all would get it....get it over with...and move on.....it was called having a "party"

Now!!!  People die!  We have nothing to fear but fear itself!

Ever know anyone who has ever died?...we all do

Loosing a limb in a "Baler" was an emergency....measles, rubella, mumps, chickenpoxs and other what used to be normal run of the mill diseases weren't.

Now....this kind of thing would make you the Anti-Christ

I got a young friend that had his arm torn off from a PTO belt on a farm when he was 10 I think. I sponsor his stock car now at the local track. He won rookie of the year a couple of years ago!

Well I'm sure that you will spew some nonsense, so why don't you get it out of your system? Why do you deflect from the question at hand? Why did Joe Biden allow MILLIONS of UNVACCINATED men, women, and children into the country?

Almost no one dies from measles. 99+ % that get them have life time immunity. less than 2 per thousand die. Quit make a big deal out of it. Dems are drama queens.

There's a "religious" exemption.

The West Texas outbreak started with Mennonites...

Measles is no problem. How many people in 3rd world countries die because of sickness and famine and measles just put them over the edge. Next to no one dies from measles. I bet more die from the vaccine.
