It cannot happen, because Putin is not a clown. Trying to clown Putin - after everything he has endured and everything he has proved to the world, merely makes a clown of Trump. They need to surrender. Its that simple.
They have raided villages, raped women and girls, and killed old people. They are criminals.
Me, either. Is he REALLY far-gone enough to think that Putin would allow those soldiers to withdraw and be rearmed and redeployed against his people?
The arrogance of it, though. It's pathological.
I beg to differ. SOMEONE has to replace the green t-shirt. What greater humiliation to the west, than to have the nazis they funded quietly run that country openly?righteous » 14 Mar 2025, 8:56 pm » wrote: ↑

Why couldn't Putin come out and "tell it like it is" when he was interviewed by Tucker Carlson...?Cannonpointer » 15 Mar 2025, 10:08 pm » wrote: ↑ What's dull about it might not be readily apparent to an American, but this is occurring on the global stage.
Trump is asking a nation's president to allow a defeated enemy to remain on his lands - or at a minimum, to withdraw from those lands without answering for any of their crimes against the local people they brutalized and raped, etc. Asking that he allow these defeated and surrounded troops to go back and get re-armed so they can be used against his population again, with better generals. And he is making that impertinent request in the wake of waging a proxy war against his nation - nay, WHILE, ONGOINGLY TODAY, waging a proxy war against Russia. The ukies are still using US intel daily to send US weapons of mass destruction daily against Russian civilians. Daily.
Evidently, Trump believes that he can say a few nice things about Putin, make a few vague and never-to-be-honored assurances, and then Putin will get all puffed up - a bad dog with a fresh new "good" name to protect - and act against his nation's interests. He's treating Putin like an idiot. The scheme is transparent on the level of a 5 year old child trying to play psychological games with an adult - and the entire world is watching.
Naturally, Putin did not say no. He's a diplomat. He said sure, we will refrain from killing them. Happily. They can surrender, instead.
The reason those Ukies will not surrender is that there are thousands of complaining witnesses they would have to face. The reason Ukraine will never tell them to surrender is that those witnesses will be captured on video giving their testimonies at trial.
Russia is the victim in all of this. The US is the actual perpetrator. The bureaucrats at the EU, some European nations, and Ukraine are the stooges and accessories. But it was the US that ousted Ukraine's president in an orchestrated coup and installed a puppet government and instructed it to start a war with Russia and ordered the destruction of Nord Stream 2 and imposed tens of thousands of sanctions to cripple Russia's economy and placed a price cap on Russian oil and in all other ways tried to get Putin ousted by making the Russian people miserable. And all of this was so that the west could loot Russia.
The request Trump makes is predicated on the pretense that this "misunderstanding" is getting resolved on accounta Trump is back and finally there's an adult in the WH, and Putin would do well to show some good will on Russia's part - let the world know that Russia isn't ALL bad. That it can be reasonable - give Trump something to work with, here. And embedded in that is every lie the west has told over the last decade and a denial of every crime the west has committed over the last decade. Telling Russia to play nice and show "good faith," while our ordinance is still targeting Russian civilians using American intel to find their targets, is just **** childish.
The day of reckoning has arrived - and childish games are not going to forestall the consequences of the west's crimes. The world is not just watching. It's reacting. And Trump's dull move is the opposite of damage control. It has everyone shaking their **** heads in disbelief. It is as disconnected from reality at the EU's and Britain's and France's continued pledges to the green t-shirt, whose sands are very, very nearly all finished running through the hour glass.

I think Trumps next step, after Russia decides to NOT accept the cease fire deal and to fight on... will be to again FULLY support Ukraine along with a more independent and well funded NATO.... which is now committed to providing $800 billion to support Ukraine !Sumela » 14 Mar 2025, 1:16 pm » wrote: ↑ The NATO/WASH DC Kursk fiasco has come to an end.

Personally, I think with RUSSIA and North Korea BOTH fighting Ukraine.. it's TIME for NATO to join Ukraine in a FULL OUT counter attack against Russia & Putin... I think Trump NOW KNOWS that peace will ONLY come thru strength, and Russian will only join a cease fire, if they are LOSING on the battlefield...
OH WELL... What the hell... peace was worth a shot !
I'm pretty sure Trump was trying to give Russia an easy OUT of the MESS in Ukraine... by cutting off U.S. support, and intelligence, and separating itself from NATO during the the Peace overture... BUT, all Russia did was double down on it's attacks, and trying to TAKE advantage of the effort, even more land... and NOW, I think Trump IS PISSED OFF, and has had enough...

As long as there are Ethnic Russians in Eastern Ukraine, Neo-Nazi battalions will always be a threat. It might work If an agreement is made that they stay west of the Dnipro River but most agreements tend to fail.Cannonpointer » 15 Mar 2025, 10:33 pm » wrote: ↑ I beg to differ. Putin should have his intelligence service help those nazis take over during the coming power vacuum when zelenski is strung up or flees to avoid that fate.
He should also liberate the ethnic enclaves created by Stalin's redrawing of the map, and return those lands to Poland, Romania, and Hungary. The people in those ethnic enclaves would vote for that overwhelmingly, as the Ukies mistreated them, too - not just the Russians. And the nations that Stalin robbed could not possibly resist getting back their lost lands and people. To this day, family members are kept separate by an artificial line drawn by the most hated villains of a now defunct system.
Imagine the west's humiliation, if three of the nations who pledged their first born to Ukraine end up taking land from Ukraine, and the nazis they supported turn around and capture the political reins. Ukraine would become once again a perfect buffer between NATO and Russia. It would have so many cooties that the mean-girl west would **** itself and flee association.

The end is near for the Little Green Goblin. He’d never be voted in by the population, his real numbers at under 20 percent, unless it’s a corrupt election. He has the Neo-Nazis to fear also.
Returning land to Poland, Romania and Hungary for civilians is a good idea but might imply NATO could be closer to the Federations borders. Trumpy seems to want to keep NATO alive after that last meeting with Rutte.

If Trump's plea is honored by Putin what will you have to say about that then...?
I consider you way more knowledgeable about what the deal is here, so don't take these questions the wrong way.
At great cost to his intelligence services, Putin released the Nuland tape. The west was flabbergasted at the fact that the Russians HAD that tape. It alerted them to a security breach which was, to Russia, an extremely valuable state secret. It was at no small cost that Putin tipped the hand of his security services, and you may be absolutely certain that he ruffled the feathers of powerful people in doing so. In choosing to ruffle those feathers and lose that critical intelligence edge, Putin made a gamble.*GHETTOBLASTER » 15 Mar 2025, 11:38 pm » wrote: ↑ Why couldn't Putin come out and "tell it like it is" when he was interviewed by Tucker Carlson...?
It rather goes without saying that part of Russia's deal to let these conquered lands rejoin their motherlands would be an agreement never to militarize the repatriated regions. So long as those regions do not accommodate NATO forward bases, giving them back to their original owners is no skin off Russia's nose. And more to the point, those three countries dining on Ukraine's carcass would enormously embarrass and inconvenience NATO, the US, and the EU. It would also thaw relations between Russia and the states that it assisted in reversing an historical injustice. The more important issue, of course, is having Ukraine as a neutral buffer between east and west, so that some yahoo getting drunk at the front and doing something stupid does not trigger a chain reaction leading to a high holy day for the MIC.righteous » 16 Mar 2025, 11:43 am » wrote: ↑ As long as there are Ethnic Russians in Eastern Ukraine, Neo-Nazi battalions will always be a threat. Putin WANTS to let Trump off the hook. But not by climbing onto the **** hook, himself. That's retarded.
