So far I've heard about a few American and European cars that China assembles with their dirt cheap labor.
What I know nothing about are how well their "homebrewed / designed and built from the ground up" cars hold up over the long haul and what the Chinese factory parts support for their older cars will be like 10 or 20 years afterwards.

They're in the middle on wages - factory workers are bringing down about 8 bucks an hour. That's cheap. That's NOT "dirt" cheap - at all.
