Washington — Republicans' slim majority in the House grew a little larger Tuesday after GOP candidates in two Florida congressional districts won in special elections. Republican state Sen. Randy Fine defeated Democrat Josh Weil for the 6th District seat formerly held by Mike Waltz, who left to become President Trump's national security adviser. Waltz had won the seat by more than 30 points in November, but Fine's margin was less, around 14 points ahead of Weil, with 99% of votes counted Tuesday night.JohnnyYou » 26 Mar 2025, 4:45 pm » wrote: ↑ Well, Mike Walsh left FL6 and went to the admin.

In the 1st District, Republican Jimmy Patronis, the state's chief financial officer, defeated Democrat Gay Valimont, a gun control activist, for the seat vacated by Matt Gaetz. The wins bump Republican numbers in the House up to 220 compared to Democrats' 213 seats. There are two remaining vacancies in seats that were held by Democrats who died in March.

https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/electi ... Republican leaders have grown privately alarmed about the massive fundraising disparity their candidate, Randy Fine, faces in a special House election in a deep-red Florida district and have swooped in to help resuscitate his campaign at the eleventh hour.House GOP leaders have in recent days been calling donors to plead for financial help in the race to fill the seat previously held by Mike Waltz, who is now President Donald Trump's national security adviser, according to two sources with knowledge of the matter. In addition, Fine, a state senator, has made personal pleas to Florida-based lobbyists and donors for a quick infusion of cash before the April 1 election, according to two sources familiar with those conversations. While party leaders in Washington and Florida are ultimately confident that Fine will pull off a victory, Republicans say they’re frustrated that they need to intervene in a district that Trump won by 30 points last year.Rep. Richard Hudson, R-N.C., who leads the House GOP’s campaign arm, said Fine “needs to do better” on his fundraising. But Hudson was confident Republicans would hold on to the seat and said he didn’t expect the National Republican Congressional Committee to spend in the race.“I would have preferred if our candidate had raised money at a faster rate and gotten on TV quicker,” Hudson told reporters Monday. “But he’s doing what he needs to do. He’s on TV now. We’re going to win the seat. I’m not concerned at all.”Fine’s campaign didn’t respond to a request for comment.
I can't blame them.

Trump has until Jan 2027 to complete his mission to destroy America at the behest of his good friend Vladdy Daddy.
He will be occupied with winning in 2026 and supporting losers in the time he has left. With any luck it will minimize the damage he can do.
See my other thread this morning. McConnel, Rand Paul, Murkowski, and Susan Collins finally rubbed their own crystal balls clean and see that the tarriffs are economic destruction and voted against a bill to let the orange phooker do whatever he wants regarding the dangerous economic mechanism.
Perhaps the phooks here will figure out China or any other foreign country does not pay tariff's in the USA someday, the American Consumer does. Probably when it is too late and we can't afford to buy toilet paper. By then their asses will be so laden with crusty orange diarrhea no amount of toilet paper will help. They will be wishing they were giving out tampon's in the men's restroom to put soap and water on it and try and clean their azz holes.
