Im older have some health issues just doing local runs part time just across town Time Clock hours but I cant be out over the road anymore my time has come & gone.
A/I automatic driving cant run a big rig down the highways yet and wont for the forseeable Future despite Waymo Taxi cabs.
When I was a younger man it was like an Adventure I was having the time of my life and stacking my bank account too.
If ya dont like your job looking 4 something new try Trucking School.
Ya gotta take the good with the bad but when ya back in that dock roughly half the time them people were waiting for ya say "Thanks" too.

30 to Texarkana lots of deer I once ran one down with a Volvo he looked right at me but was too late to stop at that point.
Cracked the Fiberglass bumper and busted my foglights but didnt punch the radiator.
I called the Sheriffs office told em the mile markers where I hit the deer so they could send somebody remove its carcass off the roadway.
