I shall also say too in the last many decades we no longer have the "Infrastructure" make our own stuff them old factories been torn down put up shopping centers and condo buildings.

Remember how we "Won" WW2 was our vast infratructure of Steel Mills and Factories.

We could just crank out more tanks and aircraft even supply the "Allies" in equiptment

Also had a much more expansive shipbuilding industry too
