I would contend if we had learned some things from Native Americans instead of wiping them out America and humanity  would be far greater off today.

We would probably have Star Trek teleporters, free electricity, and interstellar travel. Fish replicating baskets and walk on water shoes would be standard products.  The greed model breaks down at some point.  Ask an Ancient Roman or Greek, or even the Mayans who left food on the table in their economic decline.

 Hell, we might even know how to keep the Terminator out of Skynet too.
