My wood grain is 100% authentic. Nothing simulated about it.

Unfortunately, it's peckerwood. But dammit, it's wood - not simulated. 

I wish instead it were fine Corinthian leather.

Some artificial smug satisfaction that you've not been pinned down doesn't trump a tad of honesty.

If you don't know, what's the actual harm in admitting as much?
Maybe you get a link to something interesting to clue you in. I have in the past.
There is a vast wealth of knowledge that MOST of us don't have in our pointy little heads.
Even so-called experts in a specific field don't know everything about that field.

I had to take over a project worth dizzying amounts of corporate dollars.
The expert in charge had to go out of country to take care of a different fire.
He chose me because I don't rattle easily and like a simian-with-tools: I can learn.

The project was dealing with injection molded plastics. I had been involved already - just not leading it.
The expert told me: "If anyone starts to give you **** and act like they know everything about plastics, they are to be considered a **** moron. Ignore them."

He explained there are way too many variables to actually "know" what you get exactly when you mold a part.
Chemical recipe, regrind contamination, pressure, temperature, flow rate, cooling rate, etc.

He was absolutely right and I stomped (not stepped) on many toes getting experts to NOT **** up my progress.
Quite the learning process, I can tell you.

That's why I see some people here spout off like they know everything so I just **** on them or dance around their ****.
Sure, they'll dazzle with **** I can't answer back because they may know MORE than me but they still don't know it all.
Their conclusions are ultimately mere guesses too.
They may be just as wrong as my dumb ***.

Here is a question on the topic of this thread.

when 8 billion ancestors are following an inaccurate idea, which individual ancestor is to blame for all 8 billion being wrong at the same time?

I will keep watching everyone moving on like their reality isn't at fault for the current realities in eternal conflicting ideologies cradle to grave between all ancestral lineages and generation gaps living today.

I learned then that anyone who claims to be an expert isn't
I ended up being the design engineer for the PTZ cameras in the UAVs
