In doing so, they were barred from making monetary contributions to US officials, but continued to send out newsletters and hold events with a nonprofit tax exemption.

1962 Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy's Department of Justice ordered the American Zionist Council to register as a foreign agent under FARA because it was funded by the Jewish Agency for Israel and thereby acting on behalf of Israel; and under JFK's presidential administration; concurrent with RFK's tenure as Attorney General the department of justice repeatedly tried to get the American Zionist council registered as a foreign agent, to their refusal which ended up in a senate hearing. The DOJ gives them 72 hours to register, which was also ignored,
and following JFK's assassination two weeks later, under Lyndon B. Johnson, AIPAC, separate from the AZC, is given a tax-exempt status, so now they don't need to share where they get their money from as a tax-exempt organization even from as far back as 1953. The separate AZC is dissolved in 1966.

Because they are ILLEGALLY LAUNDERING FOREIGN CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTIONS through various channels including NOT COLLECTING verifying information on CREDIT/DEBIT/GIFT CARD TRANSACTIONS!! And that gives them the vessel to TAKE ILLEGAL DONATIONS!! Things like ZIP CODES, ADDRESSES, and other INFO that verifies WHO THE DONOR IS AND WHERE THEY ARE FROM!! INCLUDING IP addresses they DON'T COLLECT!!
Not to mention the "Strawman" donations they do where they take a PERSON that has NEVER DONATED and all of a sudden, they are making 50-60-70 donations to various candidates. TOTALLY ILLEGAL!!
