LOL! That explains a lot.JohnnyYou » 02 May 2025, 9:55 am » wrote: ↑ I tip the lady a 1$ at the local shop for the pre-made egg, cheese, and scrapple sandwich. Which got a higher price from 5 to 6$ due to cost of eggs and naturally stays at that price now.
I also pick up a copy of Wapo if the story is significant. I have Nov 7 for sale
Yeah, I ask the red hat Farmers when I buy a Wapo. "Isn't this publication on the banned list?"
Nixon was a peace-maker. He stopped the Vietnam war, after years of warmongering and escalation by Kennedy and Johnson. That guy, Johnson, he never got over the fact that "The People" would only give him 1 term and a year. You do know that Johnson had Kennedy killed. He was one mean, nasty white-trash ****.JohnnyYou » 02 May 2025, 1:21 pm » wrote: ↑ Yeah, I ask the red hat Farmers when I buy a Wapo. "Isn't this publication on the banned list?"
I went from the cereal box to the Wapo during the Nixon Watergate stuff that looks like a Captain Kangaroo episode compared to today's Trumpocalypse

Johnson didn't just send more soldiers, he sent nearly 40,000 American men to their deaths in Vietnam. For what? French rubber plantations.jerrab » 02 May 2025, 2:20 pm » wrote: ↑ kennedy wanted to stop but he was killed. johnson sent more soldiers and if both died that day the speaker of the house was all for the viet nam war.
I laud him for being an anti-communist, but he wasn't very pro-American. Why are Democrats always on the wrong side, bad side, evil side of history, at least since after Truman?jerrab » 02 May 2025, 2:27 pm » wrote: ↑ kennedy's speaker of the house---
A staunch anti-communist, McCormack supported U.S. involvement in the Vietnam War. His support for the war and the seniority system in Congress caused increasing numbers of younger members to challenge his leadership; McCormack survived a 1969 contest with Mo Udall for the Speakership.
the point is that if both kennedy and johnson were killed mccormack would have been president and viet nam would get more US soldiers.Skans » 02 May 2025, 2:32 pm » wrote: ↑ I laud him for being an anti-communist, but he wasn't very pro-American. It is my opinion that every man's worst critic is himself. I do not believe that many men escape the curse of self-flagellation. No one's life is made better by looking in the mirror and not liking what you see. But it happens to most of us, and I am not an exception.PhiloBeddo » 29 Apr 2025, 1:35 pm » wrote: ↑ Why do people feel so entitled these days to big tips? Years ago 10% was the standard. If he was anti-communist, what evil side was he on? Who BESIDES the comnists were on the evil side of history in the tri-polar world to which you appear to allude?Skans » 02 May 2025, 2:32 pm » wrote: ↑ I laud him for being an anti-communist, but he wasn't very pro-American.
