I heard he backed down on electronics too. We seriously need that in the near term at my work. 3,000$ phones will definitely kill Tik Tok in the US.  Everyone will go back to pen, paper, and stamps.

90% of what goes in our equipment is foreign sourced. The tax on the incoming material knocks us out of  the global arena.
