Donald Trump's administration is "actively looking at" suspending habeas corpus - the right of a person to challenge their detention in court - one of the US president's top aides has said.Stephen Miller, the White House deputy chief of staff, told reporters on Friday that the US Constitution allowed for the legal liberty to be suspended in times of "rebellion or invasion".

His comments come as judges have sought to challenge some recent detentions made by the Trump administration in an effort to combat illegal immigration, as well as remove dissenting foreign students.

One unfortunate aspect of our constitution is it's deliberate vagueness. When there is vagueness, it leaves more room for subjective interpretations. Trump will call anything a "rebellion or invasion." God luck to any American citizens who are Chinese. Trump has been under the delusion that China has wanted to "invade" America for years. Any Chinese inmate will be considered a spy under him.

Lincoln, McKinley,  and FDR have suspended.  And it was suspended in SC because of the Klan, a democrat created organization.

Problem is

There is no “vagueness” in refusing constitutional rights 

If it is an American that is locked up for being a threat 

And they are denied due process 

they will have no recourse, just like the perceived enemy 

And it is not a slippery slope 

Its a slap in the face of the constitution

if anyone but trump gave weapons to ukraine after promising trying to reach a peace deal as a CAMPAIGN PROMISE
or said that israel bombing  400 people was good or try to make gaza a personal resort and evict every single person out of gaza or take food from the hungry you would not wait to voice your condemnation but your slogan is no matter what trump does is okay.

In fairness, once you're north of 20 million illegals, a reasonable argument for "invasion" can be made.
