He just doesn't agree - nor do I - that expanding the money supply while the physical economy contracts (or, "bandaid") is good policy.

LOL, come on - the crash, a disaster of a crash, was imminent. But, I'm not pinning that on Clinton. You can blame all the FOMO's who fell for the dot-com "its a new economy" scam.Cannonpointer » 13 May 2025, 8:35 am » wrote: ↑ I'll give ya this, you got a set of balls on ya.
Clinton handed off an economy that was roaring. Now, I will grant you, he was at the end of a boom. There was a CORRECTION coming - no doubt. But a crash? A complete disaster? Not so much.
BV will never give itCannonpointer » 13 May 2025, 8:28 am » wrote: ↑ No problem, he can prove it. But you have to do your end, too.
Turn your brain off. Pretend you are a young girl - no older than nine. Acknowledge that your baby sitter is a secret princess and that there really are unicorns who graze in a glade of magic, just the other side of the Enchanted Forest.
Got all that?
Okay, @Blackvegetable - he's ready for your explanation.

That story isn't even a "likely" story. BUSH rolled out the housing for everyone program. BUSH pushed it. BUSH signed it. No one overrode his veto. He ORIGINATED that program. His appointees executed it. His party voted for it.Skans » 13 May 2025, 8:50 am » wrote: ↑ LOL, come on - the crash, a disaster of a crash, was imminent. But, I'm not pinning that on Clinton. Bush took the helm and almost immediately had to deal with 9-11. Clinton was too focused on banning "evil" features on firearms rather than eradicating threats to the United States. So, we got attacked and Bush II had to deal with it. He did a nice job of destroying most of Afghanistan too. I'm still proud of him for this.
Then, 2 things happened. Bush allowed the Democrats to push their "house-loans for everyone" scam which lead to the housing collapse; and Bush got us into a stupid war with Iraq. The smarter thing to do would have been to fund Israel to make Iranian-looking bombs and tell Israel to go light those Persia-Pounders off inside of Iraq, then sit back eat popcorn and let Iraq and Iran kill each other.

Your position isn't just gay. It's sandwich making gay. That's where ya suck the guy off, and then ya get up like a bitch and make that *** a sandwich.
It's also pure neocon drivel. If america is threatened, it's because of your policies - not because of the way we spell our name or wear our man purses. This *** nation is bringing the **** on itself.
Not a chance with Rogue62..
You forgot Barney Frank. He and Dubya deregulated the banks leading to the 2008 financial meltdown. It was bipartisan..Skans » 13 May 2025, 10:33 am » wrote: ↑ You're so full of **** sometimes:
- Carter was responsible for passing the Community Reinvestment Act. Wet Willie Clinton was responsible for amendments to the CRA and and increased enforcement pressure (i.e. lax lending practices) in the 1990s and early 2000s
- Clinton incentivized banks to loosen lending standards. This laid part of the foundation for the subprime mortgage boom. Wall Street took advantage of Clinton's loose lending policies securitizing huge numbers of "FREE MONEY 'n SHEET" loans, which triggered the 2007–08 housing collapse.
- All Bush did was promote HUD loans to penniless, but employed Blacks. Ironically, these loans didn't fail. HUD kept these in-house. And, because the HUD programs made sure all recipients had actual, verifiable jobs, AND that they would be living in these houses, this simply was not part of the problem Clinton-Democrats created.
