Oh, I wouldn't want to hurt someone who is just protesting in the middle of a road. I can't see any circumstance that would ever cause me to strike someone with my vehicle. All human life is a precious thing.

He is not talking about peaceful protesting.  He is talking about instances where protestors attack the car you are endangering you or your family.

As I may be traveling on the 19th in sketchy areas, I will try to avoid any protests and protesters.  As I always say - be kind and remember, violence is never the answer. Peace.

I admit I'd have no reservations about hitting the gas and plowing through a mob of road-blocking law breakers if they didn't move and started banging on my car.  And it was great to hear the sheriff's department in Florida advocating for such an action.  If you feel you're in danger, you have every right to insure your own safety by doing so.

Or, just take a leisurely drive through town to see where the headlines are being made.  
When I was a kid, I remember our parents driving us to follow the searchlight advertising beams you'd see in the sky at night.
Usually, it was the grand opening of a new car dealership or something else equally disappointing.

Now, driving through mobs of purple-haired, nose-ringed liberals doing the bidding of BLM and Antifa?
