Any truly woke company like Coca Cola should have  voluntarily "done the right thing" to keep their flock of SJW imbibers as healthy as can be..

Do you know anything about US price support for sugar?

Yes and there is a tariff that protects domestic sugar production.

The "cost" is minimal. Around a billion a year.

Next.

Maybe you would like a lot of FACTS before you go out on some hate-filled tirade and name calling BS that never gets you anywhere. IF  you want a DISCUSSION, we can do that. OTHERWISE, keep your opinion to yourself without a factual basis to support it.

Domestic Production:
  • The US produces sugar from both sugarcane and sugar beets.
  • Sugarcane accounts for roughly 40-45% and sugar beets 55-60% of domestic sugar production, according to the USDA.
  • The US ranks as the world's third-largest importer of sugar, despite producing a significant amount domestically.
Imported Sugar:
  • The US utilizes a system of tariff-rate quotas (TRQs) to manage sugar imports.
  • These TRQs restrict the amount of sugar that can be imported from certain countries, often based on historical trade patterns, according to the USDA
  • Most imported sugar is raw cane sugar, which needs to be refined for use in food products.
  • The US imports sugar from numerous countries, with the Dominican Republic, Brazil, and the Philippines holding the largest shares.
Impact of the Sugar Program:
  • The US sugar program aims to support domestic producers by limiting foreign competition and increasing prices for consumers.
  • This can result in higher costs for food processors and consumers who use sugar in various products.
  • The Government Accountability Office (GAO) estimates the program costs the US economy around $1 billion per year, according to the GAO

Excessive sugar intake poses significant health risks, including weight gain, increased risk of type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and certain types of cancer. It can also negatively impact mental health, contributing to depression and mood swings. Furthermore, high sugar consumption is linked to dental problems, skin issues, and even Alzheimer's disease

Supporting the change to sugar means that I care. I care that we have healthier kids and far less diabetics.

I can care about more than one thing, which, based on your very own diatribe, you are unable to do.

There a difference between an honest mistake and a deliberate lie.
Coke WAS part of AB at one time and whether or not that is still true has nothing at all to do with my comment about a woke company like Coke not being  "woke enough" to have switched already to cane sugar.

I clarified that Coke was never part of InBev. One BOTTLER in Africa was. PERIOD!!

Facts matter. You can call them "woke" all you want, that doesn't mean they ever belonged in any part to InBev. The overwhelming number of companies owned by InBev are beer and other alcohol producers.
No, Coca-Cola has never been owned by InBev or Anheuser-Busch InBev (AB InBev).
However, there was a point in time when AB InBev, through its acquisition of SABMiller, came to own a majority equity stake in Coca-Cola Beverages Africa (CCBA), the largest Coca-Cola bottler in Africa.
This was a short-lived situation. On October 4, 2017, The Coca-Cola Company completed the acquisition of AB InBev's 54.5% equity stake in CCBA, making Coca-Cola the controlling shareowner. This move was driven by Coca-Cola's desire to protect its supply chain and prevent AB InBev's influence over its bottler, especially considering AB InBev bottles PepsiCo products in Latin America.

If you want to be a stickler for every last bit of minutia...read my original post again.
All I did was put [[[AB inbev]]] in parenthesis..without any mention of how much or how little Coke is related to them.

See the reply, It answers fully your question.

Do you really think your incessant questions are effective in making any kind of point?? Discussion requires that YOU answer them as well, and you don't, so we have reached a point where you either get in the discussion with answers or you try other tactics to appease your narcissism. I refuse to play your games.

It wasn't owned by Coca Cola. That's the point. As many bottlers of Coke products are NOT owned by Coke. They are independent bottlers of Coke products and buy syrup ONLY from them. Perhaps cans/bottles too. A good friend of mine in college, his Dad was a Coke bottler in our hometown. That's how I know this to be factual.

Do better than the left. That's all that is needed. They lie constantly. They make "mistakes" intentionally and try to get cover. YOU can do better than that and have in the past. That's the point you seem to be missing here.

That is the most excellent news I have heard in a long time! I don't drink coke, but I DO want my fellow citizens to be protected from corn syrup.

Like Trump, I am a believer in big government!

The reality is, it's a good move for both Coco Cola AND the US Sugar producers.
And a bad move forUS corn syrup producers.

You hypocritcal little queer, If obama had forced coke to change its formula your tears would have taken the form of a river.
