It's a crime. Read the Hatch Act. NO government official can do what they did and it be "all's fair in love war and politics". It was designed to cause harm to Trump's administration and NOT for political purposes.

A couple of recent actions have been taken. 

The reality is, there UNDERLYING CRIME is Seditious Conspiracy. Which is OUTLINED as a crime under the Hatch Act. 

There doesn't have to be any "precedence" in order to proceed. If a crime can be proven, it's one that needs to be in court for a trial.
