As far as the EC it is needed.  Unlike you Have lived in numerous and diverse areas the country.  Each have their unique needs that differ.  Cities are different than rural.  Suburds are different than farm land.  And each needs to have a voice.

Sir, I am not interested in your takeover of the  thread.  Leaving the Electoral College in favor of majority vote is a bad idea.  It would lead to serious succession movements.

Changing from the EC would require a Constitutional amendment.  Good luck getting 38 states to sign on to that. Many states that are not coastal or urban are going to laugh at that.

And Mr Vegetable, I suggest you take your case on the road and get the support of grass roots effert for convention to propose amendments to the constitution.  Got to states with big rural, ranching and farming areas.  Because without a couple of them your amendment ain't gonna pass.  Do it in purposes.  State your case to them.

Tell them they are stupid.  But, we Sir, you are not that kinda man.  You are big and bad behind anonymity, not in person.

Under this proposal, a small rural county would have the same power as a massive urban one. Actually, it's a more accurate barometer of the entire country's sentiment. Why should the sardines attracted to the urban blight have any more say than the people in rural counties...you say it's less democratic, I say its more.

But democracy is supposed to be about people, not places. A “county count” system treats a county with 200 people the same as one with 2 million. That’s not giving everyone a voice, it’s giving land a voice.
