that 45 billion congress approved for new prisons, and the nearly 1 trillion in military spending is making sense

Many - mostly on the left - view the national guard as the "militia" to which the Second Amendment refers. Calling up the militia to handle emergencies does not seem unreasonable. 

Of course, one man's emergency is another man's kerfuffle. But I believe if we ask the overwhelming majority of DC's residents, we will hear "emergency" more than "kerfuffle."

While it is true that crime "is declining" in DC, there are nuances to that. It is "declining" from a record year in 2023. It is not declining as fast as in the rest of the US. DC recorded a higher homicide rate in 2024 than New York City, Philadelphia, Atlanta, and Chicago, according to data from the Council on Criminal Justice, via www.yahoo.com. 

Not setting a new record can look like "declining." But those horrific things at the end of beevee's legs can look like human feet, too.

I hate the military being involved 

But I could live with them or ICE shutting down the gangs (kinda)

but they will go to Home Depot, or immigration court, or homeless shelters to hit their numbers 

and empty the slums?

 IMO, this is a test run to check on the level of “manufactured consent” that they have to be able to achieve a police state

Im starting to think that Epstein is the squirrel 

to me, tRump is their best chance to get it done

So we're back to the discussion of executing homeless people?  I am not sure how a police state is gonna make any improvements in the major population centers. Urban centers have their challenges. Maybe Trump will round up the homeless and dump them in your small town and make you teach them to build windwmills.

The poverty I see on visits to Baltimore is heartbreaking. Hogan was a good Governor here in MD. Moore is less about governing and big on campaigning to be The Secon Obama.  Neither have helped the city in my opinion.
