Without the CAFE standards, I predict you will definitely see more muscle. But there is a YUGE market for high fuel efficiency vehicles, and automakers will still be looking to fill that market. The fuel efficient cars will not become less-so. But the fuel inefficient cars WILL become more so. 

Not gonna lower the average fuel efficiency by much, across the market. But it's gonna take the worries out, which will translate tomore muscle. 

That's my prediction.

i have owned 2 5.0 mustangs as well.
