1) LIES under testimony, are PERJURY !! ...an American citizens can be jailed for Perjury !!
2) Classified information is CLASSIFIED information !! ...an American citizens can be jailed for releasing CLASSIFIED information, and charged with Treason... Penalties: Depending on the statute, sentences range from fines and probation to decades in federal prison. In the most serious espionage cases, penalties can include life imprisonment or the death penalty.
3) CORRUPTION is CORRUPTION !! ...an American citizens can be jailed for releasing CLASSIFIED information !! Penalties vary but typically include prison (often 5–20 years), fines, restitution, and removal from office... other penalties include: Forfeiture of assets obtained through corruption, Loss of political office and permanent disqualification from holding public office, Civil lawsuits for damages. Professional consequences, like disbarment for lawyers or loss of licenses..
WHY, are ALL of these penalties NOT applicable to CORRUPT politicians as well ? It's TIME for Politics to be conducted HONESTLY, and LEGAL...and ramifications be made applicable (to politicians as well) if it is NOT !!

It has been said on this forum that because of those aspects, they should be held to a HIGHER standard than the average citizen. A sentiment to which I fully agree.
Politicians likewise have take an oath of office for which they CHOSE to pursue. A higher standard than the average citizen? Of course.
Penalties for willful failure to adhere to those standards should be firmly enforced.
When they are not... We end up with an elite class of cocksucking **** assholes.
Even if we can't measure up entirely to a higher standard of conduct, we should still be trying to attain it.
