Why the tariffs? You tell me.
I'm no expert but you accuse as though you know something simple that I should know.

Tariffs are a very tricky economic mechanism.

Pretty much every economist agrees the Smoot Hawley Tariff act prolonged the Great Depression. We had learned the lesson then that tariffs can have negative consequences. It quickly became apparent to the voters and everybody Smoot Hawley was voted out of a job..

Hopefully CI3 Atlas is benevolent.   I guess I'll smoke some pot and fuhgettaboutit like the rest of humanity that, if they can think, thinks it is just a comet. The TAXES on FUEL and other petroleum products FAR outweighs any tariffs that you claim are hurting people. As is the tax on alcohol, tobacco, and other "sin" types of products. Cut those taxes and see how much LESS they cost. Depending on where you live, TAXES ON FUEL ALONE amounts to 1/3- 1/2 the total price you pay.

Yet, you rail against something that EVERYONE controls paying or not based on their purchasing decisions- buy American and you pay nothing in tariffs.

I will give you credit though- you are unhinged on this one. Totally.

Give these new ideas some time. Trump even told us there may be some short term pain. 

  Oh ****, I just looked at the markets. If those numbers hold I'll have made enough money today to cover multiple years of tariffs and several vacations with extra money to spare. It's just one day but I'll have a little extra spring to my steps today.
